Bartolini achieved significant critical success as an etcher and graphic artist. He received the first prize for engraving at the 1932 Italian engraving exhibition and secured similar accolades at the 1935 and 1939 Rome Quadriennale events. His technical mastery led to a personal room and a first prize for engraving at the XXII Venice Biennale in 1942, eventually earning him an appointment as an Academician of San Luca in 1960.
Literary Output and Legacy
His bibliography included over 70 volumes of prose and poetry. Notable titles include Il molino della carne (1931), Vita di Anna Stikler (1943), and the collection Pianete, which won the Chianciano Prize for poetry in 1953. His literary career also saw him recognized with the Marzotto Prize for literature in 1954. He continued his creative pursuits until his death in Rome in 1963.
