His organizational involvement extended to the prestige of the Abel Prize, where he led the award committee from 2007 to 2010. His editorial contributions include a decade-long tenure on the staff of the journal Acta Mathematica from 2003 to 2012, followed by an editorial role with the Journal of Functional Analysis beginning in 2016.
