Kristian von Bengtson launched his career as a spacecraft designer after completing his architectural training at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2001. Specializing in crewed spaceflight, he transitioned from traditional building design to engineering human-centric environments, eventually earning a master’s degree in aerospace science from the International Space University in Strasbourg in 2006.
