Karol Nawrocki

Polish politician and historian, President of the Republic of Poland since 2025

Karol Nawrocki (born 1983) is a politician and historian, President of the Republic of Poland since 2025. Nawrocki was born in Gdańsk on 3 March 1983.

Nawrocki competed in boxing. He held office as museum director (2017–2021), chairperson of the executive board (2021–2025) and President of the Republic of Poland (from 2025). He was attached to Institute of National Remembrance (2009–2017), Museum of World War II in Gdańsk (2017–2021) and Institute of National Remembrance (from 2021).

Nawrocki received Pro Patria Medal (2018), Bronze Cross of Merit (2016), Silver Cross of Merit (2021), Medal of the 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence (2019) and Bene Merito (2020). He was educated at University of Gdańsk (magister degree), Primary School No 8 in Gdańsk and 4th Secondary School in Gdańsk.

Nawrocki married Marta Nawrocka. He is recorded as following the Catholic Church.
