Early Development and Danish Debut
Born on 15 February 2002 in Techiman, Sulemana signed a five-year contract with Nordsjælland upon reaching his 18th birthday. His professional debut occurred on 22 February 2020 against SønderjyskE, where he entered as a substitute. By August 2020, he wore the number 10 shirt. His performance during the 2020–21 season, specifically scoring five goals in five matches during April 2021, led to him receiving the Superliga Player of the Month award.

In July 2021, Sulemana transferred to the French club Rennes for 20 million euros, establishing a transfer record within the Danish league at the time. His tenure in France was followed by a move to the English Premier League with Southampton on 1 February 2023. During his time in England, he recorded his first league goals in a 4–4 draw against Liverpool in May 2023 and contributed to the club's EFL Championship play-off victory in 2024.
Atalanta and International Service
After joining Atalanta in 2025 under coach Ivan Jurić, Sulemana debuted against Pisa and scored his first goal for the club against Torino in September 2025. He subsequently made his UEFA Champions League debut in a win over Club Brugge. On the international stage, he debuted for the Ghana national team in 2020. He has since participated in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
