A 93rd-minute equalizer against Go Ahead Eagles on 11 January 2026 marked the first professional goal for Justin Quincy Hubner during his tenure with Eredivisie side Fortuna Sittard. Born in the Netherlands on 14 September 2003, the defender transitioned from youth football in Den Bosch to professional contracts in England and Japan before establishing himself within the Indonesian national team setup.

Early Development and English Move

Hubner began his developmental years in the academy of Dutch side FC Den Bosch. In February 2020, he relocated to England to join the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy. The club identified him as a left-sided centre-back. His tenure in England included a two-and-a-half-year contract extension signed on 1 February 2023, keeping him at the club until June 2025. During his final season, he received recognition as the Wolverhampton Wanderers U-21 Player of the season for 2024–25. He was released by the Premier League side on 6 June 2025.

International Representation

Early in his career, Hubner represented the Netherlands at the under-19 level and featured in a March 2023 friendly for the under-20 side against France. His international allegiance shifted toward Indonesia, supported by his father’s heritage in Makassar. Following an official naturalization process led by PSSI President Erick Thohir, Hubner obtained Indonesian citizenship on 6 December 2023. He debuted for the senior national team against Libya on 2 January 2024. He subsequently contributed to the squad's first-ever knockout stage progression at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

Professional Assignments in Japan and the Netherlands

In March 2024, Hubner commenced a season-long loan with J1 League club Cerezo Osaka. This tenure lasted until 16 July 2024, during which he logged six league appearances and two J.League Cup matches. Following his departure from Wolverhampton, he joined Fortuna Sittard on a three-year contract on 29 July 2025. His debut for the Dutch club occurred on 8 August 2025 in a draw against Go Ahead Eagles.
