Julio Rosales

Filipino Cardinal (1906–1983)

Julio Rosales (1906–1983) was a Filipino Catholic priest and Catholic bishop. Rosales was born in Calbayog on 18 September 1906. He died in 1983, at the age of 77.

Rosales served as cardinal (from 1969), Archbishop of Cebu (from 1949), diocesan bishop (from 1946) and President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines.

Rosales was awarded Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic (1974) and Grand Cross of the Order of St. Raymond of Peñafort (1955). He took part in October 1978 conclave and August 1978 conclave.

Rosales is recorded as following the Catholic Church.
