His executive career included serving as the Minister of Trade and Industry in 1919 and Deputy Minister of Finance between 1918 and 1919. He presided over two distinct cabinets, leading the country as Prime Minister from August 1919 to March 1920, and again from April 1921 to June 1922. In 1931, he briefly acted as Prime Minister during the second government of Pehr Evind Svinhufvud.
Diplomacy and State Service
Beyond his domestic ministerial roles, Vennola engaged in significant diplomatic and fiscal oversight. He served as the Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1922 to 1924 and participated as a member of the Tartu Board of Peace in 1920. His government service concluded with a final term as Minister of Finance during 1930 and 1931. His contributions to the state were recognized through numerous international honors, including the Grand Cross of the Order of the Dannebrog and the Order of the Three Stars.
