The architect founded his current practice, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, in 1994 alongside Michel Pélissié. Over the decades, his office has grown into one of the largest architectural firms in France, maintaining operations in Paris and international site offices. Beyond large-scale building design, Nouvel has extended his practice to product and furniture design, creating collections for firms such as Georg Jensen, Yves Saint Laurent, and Emeco.
