Jasprit Bumrah

Indian cricketer (born 1993)

Jasprit Bumrah is described in the public record as Indian cricketer (born 1993). Born in Ahmedabad, India, in 1993.

Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah (Punjabi: [dʒəsˈpɾiːt̪ bʊmˈɾaː]; born 6 December 1993) is an Indian International cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team in all formats of this game and has captained India in Tests and T20Is. He is widely regarded as the greatest fast bowler of his generation in all formats. Bumrah became the first bowler to reach the No. 1 position in the ICC Men's Player Rankings across all three formats and the first Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in Tests, One Day Internationals, and Twenty20 Internationals. He represents Gujarat in domestic cricket and the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Among Indian fast bowlers, he was the fastest to 200 Test wickets and the second fastest to 100 ODI wickets. He was a crucial member of the Indian team that won the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he was named the Player of the Tournament for taking 15 wickets with an average economy of 4.17.

Jasprit Bumrah is recorded among the figures by whom cricket is remembered, and the surviving account of that career is the basis on which the reputation rests.

Cricket is played in formats lasting from three hours to five days, and a career average across them remains the sport's most argued-over number.
