Born Kim Hyun-ah in Seoul on June 6, 1992, she established a career as a singer, rapper, composer, and model after entering the entertainment industry in 2007 through the girl group Wonder Girls.
Early Career and Group Affiliations
Hyuna participated in the Wonder Girls' debut mini-album The Wonder Begins in early 2007. Following her departure from the group, she joined Cube Entertainment and debuted with 4Minute in June 2009. Her professional journey involved various group projects, including 4 Tomorrow, the duo Trouble Maker with Hyunseung, and the trio Triple H, which featured Pentagon members Hui and E'Dawn.

Her solo career began in 2010 with the single Change, which reached number two on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. In 2012, she gained global exposure through her appearance in Psy's video for Gangnam Style and the subsequent duet version titled Oppa Is Just My Style. Throughout the following years, she released a series of extended plays including Melting, A Talk, A+, A'wesome, Following, and I'm Not Cool.

Hyuna attended Konkuk University, where she studied Contemporary Arts under a special admission program. Beyond music, her career included modeling, such as the launch of the Hyuna x SPICYCOLOR brand in 2012, and various television appearances, including roles in Dancing with the Stars and The Birth of a Family.
