Early Career and French Development
Born in Gryfice on 29 January 1990, Krychowiak left home at age 12 to pursue football. After moving through academies including Orzeł Mrzeżyno and Arka Gdynia, he secured a move to Bordeaux in 2006. In June 2012, Krychowiak signed a permanent three-year contract with Reims for €800,000. He became a fixture in the midfield, earning recognition for his defensive versatility and ability to score decisive goals against teams like Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon. By the end of his stint in 2014, he had accumulated 70 appearances and eight goals for the club.
European Success with Sevilla
Krychowiak moved to La Liga in 2014 to join Sevilla for €4.5 million. He played a crucial role in the club's 2015 UEFA Europa League success, scoring an equalizing goal in the final against Dnipro. His performance that year earned him a place in the La Liga Team of the Season. Even after sustaining a broken rib in the 2015 UEFA Super Cup, he continued to anchor the midfield.
