Giovani Lo Celso made his professional debut for Rosario Central on 19 July 2015 during a scoreless draw against Vélez Sarsfield. Early Career and Move to Europe
A product of the Rosario Central youth system, Lo Celso secured his first professional goal on 28 February 2016 in a 3–0 win over Colón. His performances prompted a move to Paris Saint-Germain in July 2016 for approximately £8.5 million. Although he stayed on loan at his boyhood club until the end of that year, he eventually integrated into the Parisian squad, helping the club secure the 2017–18 Coupe de France title with a goal in the final against Les Herbiers VF.

Following a successful loan at Real Betis, Lo Celso signed with Tottenham Hotspur in August 2019. His time in London was marked by periods of injury and several loan spells at Villarreal, where he underwent surgery for a hamstring issue in 2022. He returned to the Premier League in 2023, scoring goals against Aston Villa and Manchester City, before permanently departing Tottenham in August 2024 to return to Real Betis on a four-year contract.
International Milestones
Lo Celso’s international career includes participating in the 2016 Summer Olympics and multiple Copa América tournaments. He provided a decisive assist to Lautaro Martínez in the 2024 Copa América final against Colombia, helping Argentina secure the championship. During the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he scored a direct free kick against Jordan and played a role in the squad that reached the semifinals, where he appeared in the victory over England.
