Boza's presence at the Olympic Games spanned thirty-six years. Following his 1984 success, he remained a consistent competitor, appearing in the 1996, 2000, and 2004 Summer Olympics. By 2010, he held the distinction of being the only Peruvian to have appeared in six Olympic Games, eventually extending his participation record to eight.
