Diego Antonio Reyes Rosales emerged from the Club América youth academy to become a fixture in Mexican professional football. Early Development and América
Reyes made his professional entry on 25 April 2010, stepping onto the pitch as a substitute against Santos Laguna. He solidified his role within the starting eleven, scoring his initial goals during the Clausura 2011 tournament. The defender was a central figure in Mexico’s youth international campaigns. He contributed to a third-place finish at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup and secured gold at the 2011 Pan American Games. In 2012, he played every match for the under-23 squad during their run to a gold medal at the London Summer Olympics. His senior team experience includes appearances at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and multiple FIFA Confederations Cup tournaments.
European Tenure and Return to Mexico
In 2013, Reyes moved to Portuguese side FC Porto. His European career involved several loan spells, including stints at Real Sociedad and Espanyol, where he recorded league goals. After a period with the Turkish club Fenerbahçe and a brief loan at Leganés, he signed with UANL in 2019. He later joined Querétaro in August 2025.
