Professional Foundations
Early career experience included collaboration with Gio Ponti and a twelve-year tenure with Marco Zanuso. By 1963, she established an independent studio in Milan. Her professional scope encompassed commercial furniture design and architectural commissions across Europe and abroad. From 1981 to 1983, she returned to her alma mater as a faculty member, teaching industrial design and architectural planning.

Her residential projects often prioritized a dialogue between structure and environment. In the 1960s, she developed several houses in Sardinia, including the cliff-top Casa Bunker and the snail-shaped Villa Rotonda. Her 1969 project, Casa nel bosco in Lombardy, utilized a fragmented layout to avoid removing birch trees from the building site, highlighting a commitment to landscape preservation.
Furniture and Industrial Design
Throughout the 1970s, she collaborated with Knoll to produce showrooms and seating, including the Brigadier armchair. Her portfolio featured diverse industrial commissions, from the 1967 ABS luggage set for Franzi to the 1987 Ghost armchair for Fiam Italia. Her 1972 Strips sofa system for Arflex earned her a Compasso d'Oro in 1979, reflecting her focus on functional, modular comfort.
Legacy and Recognition
Boeri received significant state and professional honors, including the Ambrogino d'oro from Milan and the Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2011. She was also recognized with a Compasso d'Oro Career Award and a lifetime achievement award from the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles. She remained active until her death in Milan in 2020.
