Charlotte de Witte climbed to the ninth position in the 2025 DJ Mag Top 100 poll, the first time in her career she secured a spot within the top ten. Born in Ghent in 1992, the Belgian producer and disc jockey established herself as a significant figure in the global acid and minimal techno scenes.
Early Career and Evolution
De Witte began exploring the underground nightclub culture in Ghent around 2009. She commenced her professional DJ career in 2010, initially focusing on electro music. After winning a Studio Brussel competition in 2011, she performed at the Tomorrowland festival. For her early production work, she used the alias Raving George to mitigate potential biases against female DJs. Her 2015 single, You're Mine, featuring Oscar and the Wolf, marked a breakthrough. Following a transition in musical direction inspired by a set from Len Faki, she retired her alias and began releasing techno under her legal name, debuting with the Weltschmerz EP in 2015.

In 2019, she founded the record label KNTXT, which serves as a platform for artists including Chris Liebing, Monoloc, and Alignment. That same year, she received the award for best techno DJ at the DJ Awards. She later expanded her entrepreneurial activity in January 2024 by launching Époque, a label dedicated to remixing Belgian music tracks. In February 2024, she opened a temporary KNTXT storefront at Square Sainctelette 4 in Brussels.
Collaborations and Live Performances
In 2021, de Witte released a joint remix of the 1990 trance track The Age of Love, which became a commercial success and attained gold status in 2022 for sales exceeding 500,000 units. She has participated in various major electronic events, such as the Junction 2 Festival, Boiler Room, and Printworks. Her large-scale live appearances include a 12,500-person set at Stadshal in Ghent in February 2025 and a performance for 20,000 fans at Genoa's Piazza Matteotti on 11 April 2026.
