Early Education and Training
Born in 1931 in Dietikon, Switzerland, Weber began his formal education in 1947 at a college in Zürich, where he studied under Johannes Itten. Itten, known for developing the color sphere, provided a foundation that preceded Weber's apprenticeship as a lithographer at Orell Fuessli in Zürich, which concluded in 1949. Following this period, he traveled to Italy, Greece, and Czechoslovakia to further his artistic studies.

For the first three decades of his career, Weber focused primarily on painting. His eventual transition into three-dimensional sculpture marked a significant shift in his output. While his earlier paintings show a distinct evolutionary path, his sculptural work drew conceptual inspiration from the styles of Cézanne and Gubler. These sculptures eventually became a collaborative tool, as he worked with Zürich architect Justus Dahinden to integrate sculptural elements into buildings across Vienna and Zürich.
The Bruno Weber Park and Public Commissions
The artist's primary focus in his later years was the expansion of his sculpture garden, which remains open to the public. Between 1991 and 2003, he expanded his reach beyond private grounds to include public commissions on the Uetliberg mountain. This project involved designing functional infrastructure, including street lamps and benches for the path leading to Uto Kulm on the Zürich plateau. In 2006, the municipalities of Spreitenbach and Dietikon recognized his impact by naming a road, Bruno Weber Weg, after him.
