Bruno Senna Lalli began his motorsport journey at age five on a family farm in São Paulo, guided by his grandfather Milton and his uncle, the Formula One driver Ayrton Senna. Despite significant personal loss and a hiatus following the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, he progressed from karting to become a professional racing driver with international experience.
Early Development and Formula Three
Senna entered the British Formula Three Championship in 2005 with the Räikkönen Robertson Racing team, securing tenth in his debut season. By 2006, he achieved five victories and a third-place finish in the championship standings. During that year, he set a lap record at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, recording a 1:50.8640 time, which remained the fastest non-Formula One lap at the venue through 2016.

In 2007, Senna joined Arden International for the GP2 Series, winning the feature race in Spain during his first year. To gain circuit experience, he participated in the 2007 Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli at Silverstone, winning both races from pole position. His transition through the GP2 ranks included podium finishes and battles at tracks including Monza and Spa, though he faced mechanical and technical challenges throughout the series.
Formula One and Endurance Racing
Senna made his Formula One debut with the HRT team in 2010. In August 2011, he replaced Nick Heidfeld at Renault before moving to the Williams team for the 2012 season. Following his Formula One tenure, he shifted his focus to Formula E, driving for Mahindra between 2014 and 2016. In endurance racing, he found success by winning the 2017 FIA Endurance Trophy in the LMP2 class with Rebellion.
