Glyn Oliver Myhill, widely known as Boaz, established a career as a professional association football goalkeeper spanning over two decades in the English league system. Born in Modesto, California, in 1982 to an American father and Welsh mother, he moved to the United Kingdom at age one, later developing his skills within the Aston Villa youth academy structure.
Formative Years and Loan Spellings
After signing his first professional contract with Aston Villa in November 2000, Myhill gained experience through various loan arrangements. These included temporary moves to Stoke City, Bristol City, Bradford City, Macclesfield Town, and Stockport County. During this period, he also represented the England under-20 team on two occasions in 2002.

In December 2003, Myhill joined Hull City for £50,000. He became the club's primary goalkeeper, playing a central role in consecutive promotions that lifted the side from the Third Division to the Championship. Over seven years, he accumulated 277 appearances for the club, eventually helping the team reach the Premier League in 2008. He holds the distinction of representing Hull City in all four divisions of the English Football League.
West Bromwich Albion and International Play
Myhill transferred to West Bromwich Albion in July 2010 for an undisclosed fee of £1.5 million. His time at the club was marked by a season-long loan to Birmingham City in 2011, where he made his European competition debut. Internationally, despite youth appearances for England, he opted to represent Wales. He debuted for the Welsh senior team in March 2008, continuing his international service until 2013.
Transition to Coaching
Following several contract renewals at West Bromwich Albion, Myhill concluded his playing tenure with the club in 2019. In September of that year, he transitioned into a staff role, assuming the position of Professional Phase Development Goalkeeping Coach.
