Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (born 1966) is the Former Governor of Jakarta, Vice Governor of Jakarta. He was born in Manggar on 29 June 1966.

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama held office as Governor of Jakarta (2014–2017), Regent of East Belitung (2005–2006), Vice Governor of Jakarta (2012–2014) and Member of Regional Representative Council (2009–2012).

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama received Tatler 500 Indonesia and Asia's Most Influential Indonesia (2021). He took part in IDE Katadata 2020. He was educated at Trisakti University and Prasetiya Mulya University.

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama was the son of Indra Tjahaja Purnama and Buniarti Ningsih. He married Veronica Tan and Puput Nastiti Devi. He had four recorded children, Nicholas Purnama, Daud Purnama, Nathania Purnama and Yosafat Abimanyu Purnama. He is recorded as following Reformed Christianity.
