Born in 1997 in Bangkok, Thailand, Kunpimook Bhuwakul, professionally known as BamBam, transitioned from a child dancer in the crew We Zaa Cool to a prominent figure in South Korean pop music. As a member of the boy band Got7, he established a career spanning performance, composition, and production, ultimately expanding into an extensive solo discography and global touring.
Early Development and Training
Raised in the Ram Inthra area of Bangkok, BamBam began training at age ten, influenced by his mother's interest in the performer Rain. His participation in dance competitions led to his success in the 2007 Thailand Rain Cover Dance Competition and a second-place finish in the 2010 Thailand LG Entertainer Competition. In his early teens, he passed the JYP World Tour Audition, relocating to South Korea to train under JYP Entertainment for three and a half years.

BamBam made his initial industry appearance in 2013 on the program WIN: Who Is Next before debuting with Got7 on January 16, 2014, with the track 'Girls Girls Girls'. Over the following years, he contributed to the group's output, including producing the lyric video for 'You Are' in 2017. He also pursued individual media opportunities, including hosting M Countdown from 2015 to 2016 and appearing on the program Real Men.
Solo Career and World Touring
Following his departure from JYP Entertainment in 2021, BamBam signed with Abyss Company, debuting his solo work with the EP Ribbon. His subsequent releases included the EP B and his first studio album, Sour & Sweet, issued in 2023. His Area 52 world tour, which included stops across Asia and South America, saw significant ticket sales, notably at the Thunderdome Stadium and the Rajamangala National Stadium. In April 2025, he signed with Halo Corporation.
Public Engagement and Commercial Impact
BamBam maintains a substantial presence in the Thai advertising market, endorsing brands ranging from electronics to telecommunications. His influence extended to fashion, with two limited-edition clothing collections released in 2017 and 2021, the proceeds of which supported charitable causes including Water.org and low-income youth. In 2021, Vogue Thailand recognized him as an influential figure within the national fashion industry.
