Born on 2 July 1994 in Tamale, Abdul Rahman Baba attended Our Lady Of Fatima JHS and Young Dakpem'yili JHS. His formal football development began with Young Meteors Tamale, where he played from 2004 to 2010. After moving to the Accra-based club Dreams FC, he joined Asante Kotoko on loan. During his time at Augsburg, he demonstrated defensive reliability, maintaining an 83% tackle success rate.
