Aziz Bouhaddouz built a professional football career spanning nearly two decades primarily within the German league system. Born in Berkane, Morocco, in 1987, he moved to Dietzenbach, Germany, at the age of one. He eventually pursued a career as a forward, representing both his country of birth and his adopted home through his dual citizenship.
Early Career and Development
The forward began his youth development at FC Dietzenbach before moving to SpVgg Neu-Isenburg. In 2006, he joined FSV Frankfurt, competing in the Oberliga Hessen. By February 2009, he transitioned to Erzgebirge Aue on a loan arrangement lasting eighteen months. Following this tenure, he moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden in 2011 on a free transfer. His stint there included his first goal for the club against VfL Osnabrück, a match in which he also received a red card. He departed the club in the summer of 2012 by mutual agreement.

After a brief period with Viktoria Köln, Bouhaddouz joined the Bayer Leverkusen reserves in September 2013. He experienced significant offensive output there, recording 24 goals in 27 matches during the fourth-tier Regionalliga West season. In May 2014, he signed a two-year deal with SV Sandhausen. His subsequent transfer to FC St. Pauli in April 2016 marked a productive spell, during which he tallied 19 goals and 8 assists over 54 league appearances. He also experienced international football in Saudi Arabia after joining Al Batin in August 2018.
Later Years and Retirement
In February 2021, he returned to Germany to join the 3. Liga side MSV Duisburg, later extending his contract through 2023. He finished his professional tenure back at FSV Frankfurt in 2023. After making 14 league appearances and scoring one goal, he reached a contract termination agreement in December 2023, marking the end of his active playing career.
International Representation
Eligible for both Germany and Morocco, Bouhaddouz opted to play for the Moroccan senior national team. His debut occurred in an August 2016 friendly match against Albania. He registered his first international goal one month later during a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against São Tomé and Príncipe. In 2018, he was included in the 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup held in Russia, where he notably scored an own goal during the opening match against Iran.
