Her commercial activities began with early responsibilities in finance at the Milliyet Group. She contributed to the formation of Alternatif Bank and served as a board member for the institution. Her experience expanded into the mail order sector through the establishment and management of MILPA CO, a joint venture involving the German Quelle Company. In 1996, she entered the broadcast media industry, notably initiating a partnership with AOL Time Warner to establish CNN Türk.

From 2007 to 2010, she served as the first female chairperson of the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TÜSİAD).
