Asamoah Gyan (born 1985) is a Ghanaian footballer. Gyan was born in Accra on 22 November 1985.
Gyan competed in association football as a forward. He turned out for Liberty Professionals F.C. (in 2003), 16 appearances and 10 goals, Sunderland A.F.C. (2010–2012), 34 appearances and 10 goals, Stade Rennais F.C. (2008–2010), 48 appearances and 14 goals, Udinese Calcio (2003–2008), 39 appearances and 11 goals and Al Ain FC (2011–2012), 18 appearances and 22 goals. That career was played out in Premier League. The active career dates from 2003.
Gyan took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics, the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He was educated at Accra Academy.
