Born on 10 May 1993 in Saunamara village, located within Odisha's Sundargarh district, Rohidas began playing the sport on local grounds using rudimentary equipment. His senior international debut occurred the same year at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia. Following his initial entry into the senior squad, he faced a period of adjustment but solidified his position under coach Sjoerd Marijne in 2017. His tactical value grew through his proficiency in executing long aerial passes and his effectiveness as a first rusher during penalty corners.
