After a brief period studying at Five Towns College in New York, Levine returned to Los Angeles to regroup with his former bandmates. The collective underwent a shift in musical style, incorporating groove-based elements and adding guitarist James Valentine. Renamed Maroon 5, the group signed with Octone Records. Their debut album, Songs About Jane, released in 2002, emerged as a commercial success, selling an estimated 10 million copies. The band secured their first Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005.
Television and Business Ventures
Beyond his musical discography, which includes multiple albums such as It Won't Be Soon Before Long and Jordi, Levine expanded his public profile through television. He served as a coach on NBC's The Voice for eighteen seasons. His acting credits include the television series American Horror Story and films such as Begin Again. Additionally, he established 222 Records and 222 Productions, and launched a menswear collection in collaboration with Kmart.
