Glitch

She returned in 1981 and won the national title on sarcophagus — from the Greek for flesh-eating, applied to a stone coffin. The Associated Press covered the 1981 bee under the headline Letter Perfect the Goal.
Coming back to win after losing a final is the rarest career shape in the sport. Most runners-up age out, or lose the appetite for another year of word lists after a public defeat.
