Johannes Mallow

Johannes Mallow is a mental from Germany. Johannes Mallow won the World Memory Championships in London in 2012, and won the International Association of Memory world championship in Vienna in 2018 after the sport split into two governing bodies.

Competitive mental calculation is governed and measured: the Mental Calculation World Cup, the Memoriad and the Mind Sports Olympiad all run standardised tasks — adding ten ten-digit numbers, multiplying eight-digit numbers, extracting square roots and computing calendar dates — so results are directly comparable across decades.
