Find a formal gifted assessment

A parent check can point the way. Only an individual test by a licensed psychologist, or your country's official school process, can identify giftedness.

Listed providers pay Geniuses Club a flat listing fee. We receive no payment per assessment or referral, and listing is not a recommendation.

What a formal assessment is

An individual intelligence test given one to one by a licensed psychologist, usually in one or two sessions, followed by a written report. The most widely used tests are below. A good assessment also looks at school, development and wellbeing, not only a score.

Before you book, check the psychologist's licence in the national register, and ask what the report includes and what it costs.

  • WISC-Vages 6–16
  • WPPSI-IVages 2½–7
  • Stanford-Binet 5from age 2
