Tal established his initial company, Borderfree, in 1999 and served as its chief executive officer until 2005. The firm specialized in cross-border e-commerce payments. It achieved a public listing on the NASDAQ exchange under the ticker symbol BRDR in 2014 before being acquired by Global-e. In 2005, Tal founded Payoneer, remaining in the CEO role until 2010. Following his time as chief executive, he transitioned to the position of company president. Payoneer entered the public markets in 2021 following a merger with a special purpose acquisition company.
Recent Ventures and Fintech Roles
In 2020, Tal moved into a new capacity by joining Team8. His initial role was Fintech Managing Partner, which eventually evolved into the position of Operating Partner. By 2023, he expanded his business activity by co-founding Linguana alongside Oded Shafran.
