Professional Formation
Waldemar Hansteen began his architectural training at the office of Wilhelm von Hanno, where he worked from 1877 until 1879. He later pursued formal education alongside Torolf Prytz at the Technische Hochschule Hannover, which is known today as Leibniz University Hannover. Under the instruction of Conrad Wilhelm Hase from 1879 to 1881, Hansteen refined his technical approach. In 1885, he undertook a series of study trips across Germany, Austria, and Antwerp to broaden his practical understanding of European building practices.
