Early Training and Education
Born in Vienna on 10 December 1985 to Filipino Ilocano immigrant parents, Bueno began his dance training at age four. By age eleven, he attained proficiency on the piano, guitar, drums, and bass guitar. His musical foundation includes formal education at the Vienna Conservatory of Music, where he graduated with a focus on music and performing arts. His training also encompasses specialized instruction in acting and vocal performance.

Bueno gained prominence during the 2007-2008 ORF competition Musical! Die Show. After surviving the elimination rounds that narrowed the field from 400 applicants to ten finalists, he performed works such as 'I Wanna Be Like You' and 'Superstar'. Following his win, he transitioned into pop music and composition, with a vocal range classified as tenor.
Work in the Philippines
In 2010, Bueno began pursuing a music career in the Philippines, debuting on the television program ASAP XV on 29 August. He signed a recording contract with Star Records, an ABS-CBN Entertainment Group Company. After a brief return to Austria in September 2010 to resolve outstanding professional commitments, he returned to the Philippines in January 2011. Later that year, he held a mini-concert titled Got Fridays with Vincent Bueno at Teatrino in Greenhills.
Eurovision Participation
ORF selected Bueno to represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam with the song 'Alive'. The cancellation of the 2020 event due to the COVID-19 pandemic led to his subsequent selection for the 2021 contest. He performed the song 'Amen' during the second semi-final on 20 May 2021, where he placed 12th and did not qualify for the final. In June 2021, he released a two-track EP titled Demos.
