Victor Okoh Boniface began his career at Real Sapphire before moving to Lefke TSK in January 2018. Early Career and Norwegian Stint
Born in Akure on 23 December 2000, Boniface developed his early skills in a military barracks. After his time with Real Sapphire and a short loan to Lefke TSK, he signed with Bodø/Glimt on 4 March 2019. Despite a severe ligament injury shortly after joining, he debuted in the league that September and eventually contributed to Eliteserien title wins in 2020 and 2021.

On 8 August 2022, he transferred to the Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise on a four-year deal. During the 2022–23 Europa League campaign, he scored six goals, including a brace against Union Berlin. He finished the tournament as a joint top scorer alongside Marcus Rashford and earned a spot in the competition's Team of the Season.
Impact at Bayer Leverkusen
Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen on 22 July 2023, wearing the number 22 shirt. He scored his first Bundesliga brace against Borussia Mönchengladbach in August 2023. By April 2024, after recovering from an adductor injury, he helped the club win their first-ever Bundesliga title, finishing the season with 14 league goals. His first Champions League goal followed in October 2024 against AC Milan. In September 2025, he moved to Werder Bremen on a season-long loan.
International and Playing Profile
He debuted for Nigeria on 10 September 2023, providing an assist to Samuel Chukwueze. Although named to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations squad, a muscle injury in January 2024 forced his withdrawal.
