Institutional Tenure and Recognition
In 1996, Batyrev moved to the University of Tübingen, where he currently serves as a professor. His work has been recognized internationally, including an invitation to present at the 1998 International Congress of Mathematicians in Berlin, where he delivered a talk on mirror symmetry and toric geometry. Prior to this, he received the Gottschalk-Diederich-Baedeker Prize in 1994. He was later elected as a member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities in 2003.
