She served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic across multiple terms spanning 2013 to 2018. Initially elected with the Civic Choice party, she eventually transitioned to Forza Italia in 2022. Her administrative roles reached a high point in 2021 when she was appointed as the cabinet undersecretary in charge of sports for Italy, a position she held until 2022.
Decorations and Public Presence
The Italian state recognized her contributions to sport and public life with significant honors. She was named a Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2000 and was later elevated to Grand Officer of the Order of Merit in 2008. During the 2012 London Olympic Games, she served as the official flag bearer for the Italian delegation.
