Martina Stoessel, known professionally as Tini, launched her career as a child actor in the 2007 Argentine television series Patito Feo. By 2012, she secured the lead role in the Disney Channel Latin America telenovela Violetta, a production that propelled her to international fame, established her as a teen idol, and initiated a successful transition into music and global touring.
Early Career and Breakthrough
Born in Buenos Aires in 1997 to Mariana Muzlera and director Alejandro Stoessel, she began formal artistic training in dance, musical theater, and piano. Her first professional experience included a role as a child actor in Patito Feo. In 2011, she recorded the Spanish track Tu Resplandor for Disney, leading to her casting in Violetta. The series ran for three seasons and generated significant soundtrack success, including the theme song En Mi Mundo. This role earned her the 2012 premio Martín Fierro al artista revelación.

In 2015, Stoessel became the first Argentine artist to sign with Hollywood Records. Her self-titled 2016 debut album, Tini, performed well across Latin American and European charts. Following a move to Universal Music Latino, she released Quiero Volver in 2018, favoring Latin pop and reggae. Her artistic direction shifted toward reggaeton and Latin trap with the 2020 release Tini Tini Tini, which reached double diamond certification from CAPIF. In 2021, she joined Sony Music Latin and 5020 Records, blending urbano and cumbia styles for her 2023 album, Cupido, which produced multiple number-one singles on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100.
Global Expansion and Television Work
Beyond music, Stoessel has contributed voice roles to dubbed versions of animated films, including Monsters University and UglyDolls. Her television presence expanded to include roles as a judge on the Argentine and Spanish versions of The Voice. In 2016, she starred in Tini: The Movie, reprising her role from the Violetta franchise. Most recently, she led the 2025 drama miniseries Breakdown and released the album Un Mechón de Pelo in 2024.
