The 2016 courtroom drama Pink marked a significant shift in her career, offering wider recognition through a commercially successful narrative. She subsequently built a portfolio of diverse performances, including roles in the spy thriller Baby, the romantic drama Manmarziyaan, and the thriller Badla. Her portrayal of a homemaker in the 2020 film Thappad resulted in a Filmfare Award for Best Actress, while her performance as Prakashi Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh earned her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
