Early Development and Junior Success

Born on 13 August 1994 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, Agustiani developed an interest in weightlifting at age 10. Her initial training involved guidance from her father, who provided instruction and served as a primary influence. She moved into national competition early, demonstrating athletic aptitude during her youth. By age 15, she transitioned into the international circuit. In June 2014, she participated in the IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships held in Kazan, Russia, where she secured two gold medals and one silver medal under the organization of the International Weightlifting Federation.

Asian Games and Regional Competitions

Agustiani built a record of success across multiple regional and continental tournaments. Before her Olympic appearance, she claimed a gold medal at the 2013 SEA Games. She subsequently earned a silver medal at the 2013 Asian Championships. During the 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon, South Korea, she secured her first silver medal at that event. She returned to the podium in 2018, claiming another silver medal in the women's 48 kilogram category during the 2018 Asian Games.
