Throughout the 1960s, she starred in numerous productions, including Money and Women, A Date at the Tower, and For Men Only. Her versatility allowed her to transition between light romances and complex dramas. Her 1972 film Watch Out For Zouzou became particularly notable, leading to the nickname Zouzou. By the 1970s, she took on more politically charged material, such as Karnak, which featured a student activist character, and satire-driven films like Shafika and Metwali.
Final Years and Legacy
As her career progressed, she frequently portrayed characters dealing with abuse or victimization. She worked with many significant directors, including Youssef Chahine and her former husband, Ali Badrakhan. Her final screen appearance occurred in 1991 with the film The Shepherd and the Women. She died on 21 June 2001, and is buried in 6th of October City.
