Silvestre Varela

Silvestre Varela (born 1985) is a Portuguese footballer and association football coach. Varela was born in Almada on 2 February 1985.

Varela competed in association football as a wing half. His career took in Sporting CP (2004–2008), 2 appearances, Vitória F.C. (2006–2007), 45 appearances and 5 goals, FC Porto (2009–2017), 141 appearances and 33 goals, C.F. Estrela da Amadora (2008–2009), 28 appearances and 6 goals and Recreativo de Huelva (2007–2008), 22 appearances. That career was played out in Premier League. He had begun working by 2004.

Varela appeared at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012.

Sporting CP was founded in 1906 in Lisbon.
