Political Tenure
Kabrits engaged in regional governance early, winning a seat on the Karksi Parish Council in 1999. By 2009, he moved to the Tallinn city council, where he served until 2017. His tenure in the Riigikogu involved participation in the legal committee, focusing on property, police, and border legislation. During this period, he chaired the Mulgimaa support group and maintained membership in the Isamaa party from May 14, 1999, to March 15, 2022.

Beyond elective office, Kabrits held several appointments in public oversight. He sat on the supervisory board of the KredEx Foundation between 2007 and 2012. In 2011, he joined the Gambling Tax Council and the Environmental Investment Center’s supervisory board, serving the latter until 2014. Later, in 2018, municipal leaders elected him Elder of Mulgimaa, and he briefly served on the board of the Estonian Fencing Association until 2019.
Agricultural and Mycotechnology Ventures
His entrepreneurial track includes co-founding the Estonian Strawberry Growers' Union and initiating the first Estonian Strawberry Festival in 2006. He managed OÜ Conesco Eesti and held a sales director position at OÜ Berry Group. By 2016, his export activities reached significant scale, shipping over 700 tons of organic apples to Germany and Poland, earning him the title of Viljandi County’s Exporter of the Year. In 2014, he founded Shroomwell OÜ, a firm focused on medicinal mushroom cultivation and mycotechnology applications.
