Shahabuddin Ahmed

President of Bangladesh (1930–2022)

Shahabuddin Ahmed (1930–2022) was an Indian judge, politician and lawyer. Ahmed was born in Kendua Upazila on 1 February 1930. He died in Combined Military Hospital on 19 March 2022, at the age of 92.

Ahmed held office as Chief Justice of Bangladesh (1990–1995), President of Bangladesh (1990–1991) and President of Bangladesh (1996–2001).

Ahmed studied at University of Dhaka.
