Early Development
Born in 1980 in Lambeth, Scott Matthew Parker attended Idsall School and Haberdashers' Hatcham College. His introduction to national media occurred at age 13 when he appeared in a McDonald's television advertisement during the 1994 FIFA World Cup campaign. He furthered his football development as a graduate of The Football Association's national School of Excellence at Lilleshall.

Parker debuted for Charlton Athletic in August 1997. In January 2004, he moved to Chelsea for a £10 million fee. Following his tenure in London, he joined Newcastle United in 2005 for £6.5 million, later serving as club captain. His career continued at West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Fulham, where he concluded his playing days at the end of the 2016–17 season. During his time at West Ham, he was named FWA Footballer of the Year for the 2010–11 season.
Management Roles
Entering coaching, Parker served as caretaker manager at Fulham in February 2019 before taking the role permanently. He achieved promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs but suffered relegation the following season. He later spent 12 games in charge of Club Brugge in 2023. In July 2024, he assumed the head coach position at Burnley.
