Before transitioning to European football, Abdulhamid played for two prominent Saudi Pro League clubs. He started at Al-Ittihad before moving to Al-Hilal in 2022. In August 2024, Abdulhamid joined Roma for a fee of €2.5 million. He debuted in a 1–1 Europa League draw against Athletic Bilbao on 26 September 2024. Following a league debut against Napoli in November, he recorded his first European goal during a 3–0 win over Braga on 12 December 2024. These appearances established him as the first Saudi player to compete and score in a European continental competition.
Progression and Trophies at Lens
Abdulhamid joined Lens on a one-year loan on 3 August 2025, later securing a permanent contract until 2029. In May 2026, he started in the Coupe de France final, contributing to a 3–1 win against Nice and marking the first time a Saudi player won a major European trophy. He subsequently helped Lens defeat Paris Saint-Germain to win the 2026 Trophée des Champions.
International Representation
His national team career commenced in 2019 during a draw against Mali. He has represented Saudi Arabia in multiple global and regional platforms, including the 2020 Summer Olympics, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
