A 3-year contract signed on 2 July 2026 marked Sandy Walsh's recruitment to the Indonesian Super League club Persib Bandung. Since making his professional debut in 2012, the defender has navigated a diverse career across multiple international leagues, eventually shifting his national representation to Indonesia after securing citizenship in November 2022.

In 2003, he joined the Anderlecht academy, remaining there until his 2011 transfer to Genk. He debuted professionally for Genk on 2 September 2012 during a draw against Anderlecht. His tenure there included winning the 2012–13 Belgian Cup and the 2011–12 Belgian Super Cup. Before committing to Indonesia, Walsh played extensively for Dutch youth teams, representing the Netherlands from the under-15 to under-20 levels. A career highlight during this period was winning the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2012. Eligible for multiple nations due to his multicultural background, he opted to represent Indonesia. Following his official naturalisation, he debuted for the national team on 8 September 2023 against Turkmenistan. He subsequently recorded his first international goal during the 2023 AFC Asian Cup against Japan in January 2024 and scored again during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds against Saudi Arabia in September 2024.
