Following his university graduation, Dollfus entered the private banking sector in Milan, specifically joining Vonwiller & Co. Under the chairmanship of his maternal uncle, Albert Vonwiller, Dollfus eventually transitioned into a managerial role within the institution. His professional life expanded into the public sphere with his election to the Swiss National Council, where he served a continuous tenure from 1922 until 1943.
Residence and Later Life
In 1916, Dollfus moved his household to Kiesen, near Bern, and acquired Kiesen Castle. This estate served as his primary residence for the remainder of his life. In 1933, he was granted honorary municipal citizenship in Kiesen. He remained active in both his political and financial commitments until his death in 1948 at the age of 72.
