Training and Early Career
Ricciotti moved to France at age three. His formal education included studies in engineering in Switzerland at the Haute École du paysage, d'ingénierie et d'architecture de Genève. He later graduated from the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Marseille in 1980. His professional operations have long been based in Bandol, while he maintains a residence in Cassis.

Notable projects include the Pavillon Noir in Aix-en-Provence, the Jean Cocteau Museum in Menton, and the Mémorial du camp de Rivesaltes. Legal Challenges
In 2018, Ricciotti appeared before the Criminal Court of Toulon regarding unauthorized renovations to his private villa in the Parc national des Calanques. The court found that he had converted a 1970s dovecote into a screening room while hiring labor off the books. He received a four-month suspended sentence and a €150,000 fine. The ruling was not recorded on his criminal record, permitting him to continue public work.
