The decision to abandon acting in favor of carpentry was reversed when director Joachim Trier created a role specifically for Renate Reinsve. This pivotal career redirection led to her international emergence in 2021, moving her from Norwegian stage productions at Det Norske Teatret into a series of globally recognized film projects, including multiple collaborations with Trier and significant award-winning performances.

Born on November 24, 1987, in Nedre Eiker Municipality, Reinsve initially pursued theatrical training at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
